What is the Credit Card Security Code?
A Card Security Code is a special security feature of your Discover, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card. |
|
How does my card's Security Code protect me?
Card Security Codes are not raised, so they are not imprinted or scanned with standard credit card readers. In theory, these numbers are only visible to you. When you give your Card Security Code to a merchant, you assist the merchant in verifying that the order is being placed by you, the card holder. |
|
Why do you ask for my Card Security Code when I place an
order online?
We require you to enter your Card Security Code whenever you place an order online to help us detect fraudulent use of your card before your account is charged. This simple step allows us to greatly enhance the safety and security of our ordering process. |

Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Users
Flip your credit card over and look at the signature box. You should see either the last 4 digits of your credit card number or the full 16-digit credit card number followed by a 3-digit code. This 3-digit code is your Card Security Code. |
|
American Express Users
Look for a 4-digit code printed on the front of your card just above your main credit card number. It can be either on the left or right hand side of the card. This 4-digit code is your Card Security Code. |
